| Hurrah! A brand
new year. We jumped in with an exciting trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
Ty drove us there in his '57 Chevy truck and joined in the fun with Mum, Gary, Fiona,
Glen, Sean, Lee and me! We boarded the Wgasa Bush Line Railway and toured around the
park for the next 55 minutes: we enjoyed the 5 mile journey with beautiful wildlife in
their natural settings including lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, deer, goats,
rhinocerous, hippopotamus, vultures, gorillas, butterflies, flamingoes and pelicans.
After lunch, we watched the Bird Show where birds including an emu and eagle demonstrated their skills, followed by an Elephant Show and a Rare and Wild America Show with a tame porcupine, reindeer, moutain lion, bobcat and a 'recycling' racoon! Whew, what a fun day we had! Dad, Trina, Arthur, Charley, Penny and Erin stayed at the beach house and enjoyed playing games together. |
